This week in science, first we recorded our plant investigation's growth for the first time. Then we showed a driving question and a rubric to show us what we should be aiming for in our work for science. We had to look at the rubric and make questions about it. The the next day we recorded our plants growth again. Also we made a procedure for how to gather data from your plant investigation. Also we wrote out our hypothesis. The next day we then were given a mission in our group. Each mission there was a question that we had to ask each person in the class as a survey. Then we recorded the data and made a bar graph showing out results. Also we wrote a description to show what we did.
This week in science I learned a number of things. One thing I learned was how to make questions that help answer the driving question we were given. Another thing was that we learned haw to make our procedure for gathering data as specific as possible so then even a 5 year-old could understand it and make a plant investigation. We also practiced learning how to tell the difference between a dependent and independent variable. We learned how to make a good hypothesis with the "If...Then...Because" format. We also learned that there are different ways to gather data.
